About the Artist

Born in Jingdezhen—the historic heart of porcelain—Da Xiang bridges time-honored ceramic traditions with a contemporary sculptural vision. His practice draws on diverse clays from China and abroad, with self-developed clay bodies and glazes shaping a distinct material voice.

Across Raku pottery, peeling-glaze Raku, slip-decorated (engobe) work, and silver luster ceramics, Da Xiang’s pieces seek balance between refinement and organic spontaneity—inviting viewers into moments of quiet strength and tactile beauty.
